I would attain a milestone in aerospace, conducting “First Flight” test events in the aircraft known today as the FA-18 Block III Super Hornet.

I

was born with an unquenchable fire for all things aerospace.   Expressing my determination to become an astronaut on a mission to Mars, I sought a meeting (at age 12) with Congressman Ralph Hall, a former Navy Pilot and Chairman of the House Committee on Science, Space & Technology.  He would challenge me with a course of action leading me to earn my Private Pilot’s License while still in High School, to pursue a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering (U.S. Naval Academy), and later, Masters degrees in both Aeronautical & Systems Engineering (U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology).  After attending the U.S. Navy Test Pilot School, I would attain a milestone in aerospace, conducting “First Flight” test events in the aircraft known today as the FA-18 Block III Super Hornet.

y career has been defined by a track record of developing and delivering innovative technologies.  Founded in my childhood, this inventive nature stemmed from growing up on a small ranch, often challenged to design, build and test my own solutions to repair broken/dated machinery.  On the battlefield, this ingenuity would manifest into creative tactical employment under hostile fire, leading to 6 personal citations for valor in combat.  Transitioning to my civilian career, I would discover significant opportunities for technical and non-technical innovation when requested to be the on-site lead for the corporate turnaround of the company’s turbomachinery business.  Applying my aerospace and systems engineering background to the technical problems facing the organization, I am proud to be an author of a U.S. Patent for advanced turbomachinery (Integrated Modular, Multi-Stage Motor-Pump/Compressor Device) and to have spearheaded the multiple builds of high-power, high-speed rotating machines.

I believe that “rolling up my sleeves” provides not only the endearment of the workforce, but also insight into the business process to drive continuous improvement.
